Details.

A microphone lyre clamp on its own is nothing special. But designing it so you can assemble a stereo bar at 0°C while wearing gloves? That's a whole different challenge.

The system consists of the main body, the microphone lyre L—D08, and the TS—30 hand clamping bolt, designed to provide maximum control and flexibility when clamping and adjusting the clamp on a Ø15mm rod (not included), commonly used for mounting photographic equipment.

The microphone lyre features a unique design that connects to the clamp via an octagonal interface. This small detail allows the clamp to be tightened without the lyre rotating and enables the lyre to be positioned in 45° increments.

This microphone lyre is not soft like standard, readily available ones. Its intention is not to dampen low frequencies — it is designed to hold the microphone securely in place and to absorb sharp mechanical impulses through its flexible geometry, turning a hard knock into a significantly reduced, low-impact thud. It is not intended for use in controlled studio environments. Using a softer lyre would result in microphone wobbling in harsh field conditions, which would produce unwanted noise.

All components, except for the bolts and nuts, are fully 3D printed using HP MJF technology and PA12 material, providing resistance to high temperatures, UV exposure, and chemicals, while the fine, slightly textured surface improves handling in demanding field conditions, for example, when wearing gloves.
