The stereo pair is built with AOM-5024L-HD-R microphone capsules. The signal path is kept simple, using only the capsule's internal FET and a transformerless, single-ended (unbalanced) coupling circuit. This preserves the original sound characteristic of the capsules.
Each microphone is fitted with a Mogami-2697 cable which is terminated by Neutrik NC3MXX-B XLR connector with gold-plated contacts. The coupling electronics PCB is integrated directly inside the connector for a compact design.
The microphone housing is 3D printed using HP MJF technology and PA12 material. This produces a strong and stable housing resistant to high temperatures, UV exposure, and chemicals.
All our microphones are hand-assembled and soldered using the highest-quality materials, while all integrated components are of high quality and RoHS compliant.
Stereo microphone pairs are sensitivity-matched using a calibrated acoustic source³ at 1kHz and 94dB SPL. The sensitivity difference between two microphones in a stereo pair never exceeds 0.50dB.
Recorded on a Tascam FR-AV2, unprocessed, 32-bit float, 80Hz low-cut filter enabled on the recorder.
