The microphone stereo bar is an essential piece of equipment for anyone recording sound in the field. What sets this one apart is its combination of robust construction, deliberate design decisions, and a setup that gets out of your way.

It mounts to your tripod via an Arca-type clamp — the same quick-release standard widely used in photography and videography. If you already own a tripod with an Arca-type head, this microphone stereo bar snaps on instantly, without fiddly screws or adapters.

It's built around standard Ø15mm aluminum rods — the same diameter widely used for mounting and securing camera equipment. The kit includes two rods, allowing a maximum microphone spacing of 500mm, and if you need a wider spacing between microphones — rods of the appropriate length are available anywhere.

A small opening on the front of the Arca-type clamp aids centering of the two rods connected by an M12 connector, resulting in a balanced stereo bar.

The system consists of a main Arca-type clamp ATC—15—K that supports the entire setup, two standard aluminum rods Ø15mm by 250mm each, an aluminum M12 rod connector, two microphone lyre clamps LC—15—K (with lyres), and a pack of microphone cable clips MCC—06.

All components, except for the rods and bolts, are fully 3D printed using HP MJF technology and PA12 material, providing resistance to high temperatures, UV exposure, and chemicals, while the fine, slightly textured surface improves handling in demanding field conditions, for example, when wearing gloves.
